Acomo closes acquisition of Tradin

ROTTERDAM (NL), 30 DECEMBER 2020

Following the resolutions of the Extraordinary General Meeting, held as a webinar on 22 December 2020, the successful raise of financing, both debt and equity, and clearance from the competition authorities for the acquisition of SunOpta's international organic ingredients business comprising The Organic Corporation B.V. and Tradin Organics USA LLC (together, Tradin), as announced on 10 November 2020, Amsterdam Commodities NV (Euronext: Acomo) confirms that Acomo and SunOpta have today closed the transaction.

Tradin is a leader in the fast-growing global market of organic ingredients and its diversified portfolio of activities and customers is highly complementary to that of Acomo. Tradin is expected to significantly contribute to Acomo's revenues and earnings.

In vervolg op de genomen besluiten door de Buitengewone Algemene Vergadering van Aandeelhouders, gehouden als webinar op 22 december 2020, de geslaagde financiering, zowel van schulden als eigen vermogen, en de toestemming van de mededingingsautoriteiten voor de overname van SunOpta's internationale biologische ingrediëntenactiviteiten, bestaande uit The Organic Corporation BV en Tradin Organics USA LLC (samen, Tradin), zoals aangekondigd op 10 november 2020, bevestigt Amsterdam Commodities NV (Euronext: Acomo) dat Acomo en SunOpta vandaag de transactie hebben afgerond.

Tradin is een koploper in de snelgroeiende wereldwijde markt van biologische ingrediënten. Haar gediversifieerde portfolio van activiteiten en afnemers is zeer complementair aan die van Acomo. Tradin zal naar verwachting aanzienlijk bijdragen aan de inkomsten en winstgevendheid van Acomo.
