The company rapidly expanded its operational capacity through strategic mergers, notably combining with H&R Drilling in early 2000, resulting in a combined fleet of approximately 24 drilling rigs. Tetonka ceased independent operations later that year when it merged with Bonus Resource Services to form Enserco Energy Service Co., which became Canada's third-largest oil field service firm before its acquisition by Nabors Industries. Tetonka Drilling Inc. is recognized as a foundational entity in the consolidation of Canadian drilling contractors at the turn of the millennium.
